Bitget and UNICEF Expand Digital Skills Push With AI and Financial Literacy Programs

May 21, 20261 min read

Crypto exchange platform Bitget and UNICEF have expanded their global digital skills partnership, introducing new programs focused on artificial intelligence, blockchain education, and financial literacy for young people. The initiative aims to equip the next generation with practical digital and financial skills needed for the evolving global economy.

The expanded partnership will support training programs targeting underserved communities, with a strong focus on improving access to emerging technology education and digital inclusion. UNICEF and Bitget say the goal is to help young people navigate rapidly changing digital and financial ecosystems while building future-ready capabilities.

For Africa, where youth populations are rapidly growing and digital transformation is accelerating, the move highlights the increasing importance of tech education beyond coding alone. AI literacy, financial technology awareness, and digital entrepreneurship are becoming critical workforce skills across the continent.

The partnership also reflects a wider trend of private tech companies aligning with global institutions to shape digital capacity building at scale. As AI and digital finance continue reshaping industries, access to skills and knowledge could become one of the continent’s biggest competitive advantages.
